Ingredients

300g Scotty Brand Chippy Chips
220g Steak of your choice (rib-eye or sirloin)
Olive Oil
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic
Chopped Parsley
1 cup of grated cheese (Cheddar or Mozzarella)

METHOD

  1. Oven bake the Chippy Chips for 20 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 220C or place evenly into an air fryer.⁣ Season the chips with salt and pepper when finished.

  2. Prepare your steak of choice by rubbing a good dash of olive oil all over it.⁣

  3. Season the steak with a generous amount of salt and pepper! (I’m talking loads, for a flavourful steak) - I use a pepper mill.

  4. In a skillet, drizzle some olive oil making sure it is on a high heat. Place the steak onto the hot skillet. I like my steak medium-rare, which needs around 2 mins on each side. Turn the steak over after about 2min to get a nice brown sear.

  5. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and baste the steak with the melted butter for another 2min.⁣

  6. Set your steak aside to rest and let it cool slightly before you slice it.

  7. Melt your cheese on a baking tray in the oven for 5min at 200C and pour it all over the chips when ready.⁣

  8. Add your sliced steak on top, garnish with the parsley and voila! ⁣
